3rd Man Pleads Guilty In Cattle Abuse Case

GREELEY, Colo. (CBS4)- A third man has pleaded guilty in an animal cruelty case out of Weld County.

Larry Loma pleaded guilty to one count of misdemeanor animal cruelty in Weld County Court in Greeley.

The charge stems from the release of undercover video recorded at the Quanah Cattle Company. The facility is located near Kersey, 55 miles northeast of Denver.

Last fall an investigation at the facility began after the animal rights group Compassion Over Killing released undercover video of the calves being kicked, dragged, thrown and lifted by their tails.

Three men were charged in the case. Tomas Cerda and Ernesto Daniel Valenzuela-Alvarez already pleaded guilty.
