Two Shot In West Garfield Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Two people were wounded — one gravely — in a West Garfield Park neighborhood shooting Wednesday evening.

A man and woman were in a parking lot in the 500 block of South Kostner Avenue about 5:52 p.m. when someone walked up and shot them as they opened fire on a nearby vehicle, police said.

The man, 23, was shot in the ear and taken to Stroger Hospital in grave condition, police said. The woman, 53, was shot in her left side and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition.
