Two Men Shot To Death In Gary

GARY, Ind. (CBS) -- Two men were found shot to death early Thursday morning in Gary, Indiana.

CBS 2's Mike Puccinelli reports the victims were found around 1:30 a.m., lying outside an apartment building in the 1600 block of West 5th Av., after police received a call about shots fired at that location.

"Both of them were unresponsive, no signs of life. They both were pronounced dead on the scene," Gary Police Cpl. Gabrielle King said.

Daven James, 17; and Darrien Eftes, 23, both suffered multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Lake County Coroner's office.

Police cordoned off the area and began searching for evidence inside and outside the building.

One of the victims appeared to be an 18-year-old man. Police have not said how old the other victim was.

No arrests have been made as of early Thursday morning.
