Metra Electric Trains On The Move After Tree Falls On Tracks On Far South Side

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Metra Electric trains are on the move Monday morning after a tree fell across the tracks in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side.

Just after 5 a.m., trains in both directions were halted at State Street near 121st Street because of a tree that fell across the tracks, according to Metra.

Crews were dispatched to remove the tree, and trains were on the move by 6:30 a.m., but running at least 15 minutes behind schedule, Metra said. Trains Nos. 202 and 203 did not operate.
