Three Shot In West Town Drive-By

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Three people were wounded in a drive-by shooting Saturday night in West Town.

Two men and a woman were standing on a sidewalk near the corner in the 2700 block of West North Avenue at 10:25 p.m. when a passenger in a dark-colored SUV opened fire, police said.

A man, 25, was shot in the abdomen and showed up at Norwegian-American Hospital, but is expected to be transferred to John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in "stable" condition, police said.

The woman, 22, was shot in the right calf and went to Saint Elizabeth Hospital, where she is listed in "stable" condition, police said.

The other man, 28, suffered a gunshot wound to the left calf and took himself to Presence Saints Mary and Elizabeth Medical Center, where he was treated and released, police said.

No one is in custody as Area North detectives investigate.
