Person arrested after SWAT response at Northwest Side Chicago home

Jefferson Park SWAT situation ends following 12-hour standoff

CHICAGO (CBS)-- A SWAT situation at a home in the Jefferson Park neighborhood ended peacefully after a 12-hour standoff Tuesday night. 

The Chicago police SWAT team was sent to the 4900 block of North Moody Avenue, between Argyle and Ainslie streets.

Police arrived to investigate a domestic disturbance and said negotiators were in communication with a man inside the home around 2:30 p.m. He was barricaded inside alone.

The situation ended around 11:30 p.m. No injuries were reported. 

The man was placed into custody and he was taken to a local hospital for evaluation.
