Highs rebound in Chicago Friday, but crash to dangerous cold by Sunday morning

Dangerous wind chills coming next week in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) — Conditions will be clear and cold Tuesday night with lows in the single digits and wind chills as cold as -10 degrees.

It will be mostly sunny Wednesday with highs in the low 20s, with wind chills between 5 to 10 degrees.

A few flurries or light snow showers will be possible Wednesday night, with lingering flurries into Thursday. Little to no accumulation is expected.

Highs will rebound briefly on Friday to the low 40s, then a very cold airmass arrives this weekend.

Highs will be in the low 30s Saturday and only in the low teens for Sunday. Sunday morning wind chills will be between -10 and -20 degrees.

By Monday morning, actual air temperatures will be below 0 degrees with dangerous wind chills between -20 and -25.

Highs on Monday will only reach 5 degrees.

Low teens are forecast for Tuesday, but feels-like temperatures will be between -15 and -20 Tuesday morning.
