Tinley Park Police Investigating Crash And Grab Burglary At Best Buy

(CBS) --Tinley Park police are investigating a crash-and-grab burglary early Saturday morning, reports WBBM's Mike Krauser.

Burglars hit the Best Buy at 191st Street near Harlem Avenue at about 4 a.m. Police say they drove through an overhead door at the back of the store and made off with merchandise.

Unlike other crimes like this, the burglars did not leave the vehicle behind. Police say they are not sure how many people were involved or exactly what they got away with, but they were gone when officers got the scene. Police do have surveillance video.

In previous smash and grab incidents, the burglars typically wear hoodies or have their faces covered, making identifying them all but impossible.

It is not clear if the surveillance video includes images of the vehicle.
