Rounds of showers, possible thunderstorms in Chicago

Scattered showers and thunderstorms continue to develop and move into the Chicago area overnight into Sunday morning. 

While severe storms are not a significant concern, wind gusts of over 40 mph and localized flooding are possible.

Storm redevelopment will be limited on Sunday afternoon, which is good news for Bears fans at Soldier Field, where rain chances drop to 30%.

Many areas will enjoy needed, soaking rainfall through Sunday morning, with rain totals of 0.5" common and isolated pockets of 1-2" possible.

Periods of scattered showers and thunderstorms continue at times through the first official week of autumn.
