Teen, Man Found Dead In West Lawn

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A teenage boy and a man were found dead with gunshot wounds inside a West Lawn neighborhood home Wednesday afternoon in a possible murder-suicide on the Southwest Side, police said.

The bodies were discovered about 4:15 p.m. inside a home in the 4100 block of West 63rd Street, police said.

The 17-year-old boy and the 28-year-old man were both shot and pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The teen was identified as Peter Robert Costello and the man was identified as Matthew Santon, the Cook County medical examiner's office said. They both lived in the block where they were found.

Both of the bodies were found in the same bedroom of the home, and a gun and a knife were recovered nearby, according to a police source.

A police source said the deaths may stem from a murder-suicide.
