A person was shot on a CTA Blue Line on Chicago's Near West Side on Sunday night.

Chicago police said officers found someone with a gunshot wound on their thigh after a shooting inside a train car around 9:15 p.m. Police said the victim was taken to a local hospital and is expected to recover.

"A few moments, as soon as the train pulled up, you have someone come up and shoot someone, just in a flash," he said.

Wilson said he was in front of the car where the shooting happened.

No other injuries were reported.
