Milwaukee North Trains Delayed After Train Fatally Strikes Person

(STMW) -- All Metra Milwaukee District North Line trains were delayed on the Northwest Side on Friday after a train fatally struck a person near Edgebrook.

Train No. 2141 hit a person, whose age was not immediately known, just after 6 p.m. between the Forest Glen and Edgebrook train stations, according to Metra spokesperson Michael Gillis.

The Cook County medical examiner said investigators were sent out to a scene of a person killed by a Metra train.

As of 7:30 p.m., all inbound and outbound trains were running with 80 to 100 minute delays.
