Metra UP/North Trains Back On Schedule After Sunday Derailment

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Trains have resumed normal service on the Union Pacific/North Line Monday morning after a train derailed in north suburban Waukegan last night.

As of 8:30 a.m., trains were running as scheduled on the line, according to Metra's website.

Inbound train no. 826 derailed in Waukegan late Sunday, according to Metra's website. As a result, outbound train no. 301 was delayed more than three hours overnight.

All tracks were open as of 5 a.m.
