Metra Expands Program Allowing Pets On Trains
(CBS) – Metra will expands its "pets on trains" program to all weekend trains, starting Oct. 10.
Following a successful three-month test on one commuter rail line, Metra will now allow small pets -- dogs and cats -- on all of its weekend trains. Pets must be in an enclosed, protective carrier.
This pilot program will last through January. Metra will decide afterward whether to continue it.
