Metra Electric Train Halted In South Suburbs After Wires Come Down

EAST HAZEL CREST, Ill. (CBS) -- Wires came down near the Metra Electric tracks in the south suburbs Sunday afternoon, halting a train.

Metra confirmed the wires came down near the tracks, and one – but only one – University Park-bound train was stopped at the Calumet station in East Hazel Crest.

Metra said it was not known if the wires belonged to the rail agency or ComEd.

There were no reports of power being disrupted, Metra said.
