Man Shot On Eisenhower Expressway Exit Ramp In Oak Park

(STMW) -- A man who was a passenger in a vehicle was shot Friday evening while on an off-ramp of the Eisenhower Expressway (I-290) in west suburban Oak Park.

The 21-year-old was shot in the leg about 7:30 p.m. while the westbound vehicle was on the exit ramp from I-290 to Harlem Avenue in Oak Park, according to Illinois State Police. The driver of a dark colored vehicle pulled alongside the car and fired shots, police said.

The driver dropped the man off at West Suburban Medical Center in Oak Park, police said.

Police said the man's injuries were not life threatening. Additional details on the shooting were not immediately available.
