Man dies after being shot by 4 gunmen while inside Englewood gas station

A man was shot and killed while inside a gas station on the city's South Side on Wednesday afternoon.

The shooting happened around 4:18 p.m. in the 6600 block of South Wentworth Avenue.

Chicago police said the victim, an 18-year-old man, was inside the gas station when four gunmen got out of an unknown vehicle and fired shots, hitting the victim multiple times in the body.

He was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Area detectives are investigating.
