Man Shot In South Shore

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was shot in the South Shore neighborhood Wednesday evening.

About 5:52 p.m., the 31-year-old was standing in the alley of the 6900 block of South East End Avenue when another person walked up and shot him in the ankle, police said. He also suffered a graze wound to his arm.

The man took himself to South Shore Hospital, where his condition had stabilized, police said.
