Man killed, woman wounded in shooting on Chicago's West Side
A man was killed and a woman was wounded in a shooting on busy Cicero Avenue in Chicago's South Austin neighborhood Wednesday afternoon.
Chicago Police said 4:10 p.m., the 27-year-old man and the 25-year-old woman were on the sidewalk in the 300 block of North Cicero Avenue, near Lake Street. A gray vehicle pulled up and someone inside got out and shot them both, police said.
The man suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The woman was shot in the left leg and buttocks and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in fair condition.
Harrison Area detectives were investigating late Wednesday.
