Man Killed In Maywood Shooting

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man was fatally shot in west suburban Maywood Thursday afternoon.

Shortly after 1 p.m., officers responding to a report of a person shot found 31-year-old Marlon Goodwin shot several times in the 700 block of South 4th Avenue, according to Maywood police and the Cook County medical examiner's office.

Goodwin, who lived on the same block, was taken to Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, where he was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m., according to the medical examiner's office.

Police are encouraging anyone with information on the shooting to call investigators at (708) 450-4471.
