Man Charged In Roseland Shooting
CHICAGO (STMW) -- A man has been charged with shooting another man in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side Sunday night.
Russell Jones, 35, faces one count of first-degree attempted murder in connection with the shooting that happened about 9:40 p.m. near Jones' home in the 100 block of West 104th Street, police announced early Tuesday.
Jones allegedly got into a fight with a 44-year-old man, who he shot in the head, police said.
The 44-year-old was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn in serious condition, but police said he was "stable" on Monday.
Jones ran away from the scene and was arrested shortly after the shooting, according to police.
He is scheduled to appear in bond court Tuesday.
