Kids To Ride Free On Metra This Summer

CHICAGO (STMW) -- Kids can ride Metra trains for free with their families Memorial Day through Labor day as part of an expanded Family Fares program.

Up to three kids under 11-years-old can ride free with an accompanying adult, according to Metra.

Metra trains will operate on a Sunday/holiday schedule on Memorial Day and service will not be available on the North Central Service, Heritage Corridor and SouthWest Service lines. Metra will also offer early "getaway trains" on Friday to allow riders to get an early start on their trips, Metra said.

A full schedule can be found at metrarail.com.
