Joakim Noah's Accomplishments Not Seen For Bulls Since Scottie And MJ Were Around

(CBS) Bulls center Joakim Noah had another splendid all-around game in Chicago's 102-87 win at Minnesota on Wednesday night, recording 15 points, 13 rebounds and 10 assists. It was his fourth triple-double of the season, tying him with Indiana's Lance Stephenson for the most in the NBA. It was also the seventh triple-double of Noah's career.

The performance also put Noah in some select company in franchise history.

The four triple-doubles are also the most by a Bulls player in a single season since Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen each had four in the 1992-'93 season. And with his 398 assists this season, Noah broke the Bulls' frachise record for assists by a center that had been set by Tom Boerwinkle way back in 1970-'71.

The win was Chicago's sixth in a row, which was notable for its meaning in the standings now and another reason, as Bulls stats guru Jeff Mangurten pointed out.
