3 Shot During Rush Hour On I-57 In Calumet Park

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Three people were were shot on I-57 near 127th Street in Calumet Park Monday afternoon, according to Illinois State Police.

Police responded to a call of a shooting at 4:05 p.m. Three of the four people in a vehicle were shot in the incident.

The three victims, a 38-year-old man, a 15-year-old boy, and a 12-year-old boy, were all taken to local hospitals. The man is in critical condition, and the boys are stable. An 8-year-old girl was also in the car but was not shot, but she was also taken to a local hospital and is stable.

All northbound lanes on I-57 from 147th Street to 127th Street were temporarily shut down for the investigation but reopened at 8:15 p.m.
