Humid day in Chicago with storms Monday afternoon
CHICAGO (CBS) — This week, we are settling back into a stormy weather pattern, with heat, humidity, and several rounds of strong to severe thunderstorms.
Following scattered rain at times Monday, calmer weather briefly returns Monday night and Tuesday. Expect low clouds and patchy fog early Tuesday, then a hot, humid day with feels-like temperatures in the middle 90s.
Late Tuesday night and early Wednesday morning, widespread thunderstorms roll in with a slim risk of wind damage or a tornado. The higher risk is localized flooding, with one to three inches of rain, which is possible in some areas.
Additional rounds of showers and thunderstorms are likely at times on Thursday and Friday, which may impact Lollapalooza concert-goers. The exact timing cannot be pinned down this far in advance, so stay with CBS News Chicago for weekly updates.
