Homewood man charged with firing gun during road rage incident on I-94, state police say

A Homewood man was charged after he allegedly fired a gun during a road rage incident on Interstate 94 last week.

Cameron Jackson-Bey, 33, was arrested and charged with felony counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm and aggravated unlawful use of a weapon.

Illinois State Police said shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Friday, troopers responded to the shooting on southbound I-94 near 71st Street for a road rage incident.

Police said the suspect, later identified as Jackson-Bey, allegedly fired a gun at the victim's vehicle. No injuries were reported.

He was arrested less than 24 hours after the shooting.

Jackson-Bey is currently held pending his first court appearance.
