Chicago police seek to identify groups in 2 separate robberies on CTA Red Line train in Greater Grand Crossing

Chicago police are asking the public for information in two separate CTA Red Line train robberies that happened in the Greater Grand Crossing neighborhood last week.

The first robbery happened on Dec. 13, around 5 a.m., in the 0-100 block of West 69th Street. 

Detectives said in that incident, three men and a woman robbed a passenger by force while on the train. 

On Monday, detectives released photos of the alleged suspects.

Then two days later, on Dec. 15, around 3:30 a.m., another passenger was robbed by a group of seven men at gunpoint in the 0-100 block of West 79th Street. Their photos were also released on Monday.

Police did not say what was taken from each victim or if any of them were hurt during the robberies.
