Cooler day ahead in Chicago with lingering showers

Easy, breeze Wednesday on the way

CHICAGO (CBS) — A few scattered showers continue as Monday's storm system slowly exits the state. 

The rain will wrap up by sunrise tomorrow after a few evening showers.

Breezy, mild sunshine is forecast for Wednesday as high temperatures rise into the 60s, with the 70s farther from the lake.

Our next chance of rain arrives as scattered showers and a few thunderstorms late Thursday into Friday.

We are not currently expecting a severe storm or flash flood risk. 

The weekend forecast looks very warm and mainly dry, but stay tuned for forecast updates, as a few showers are possible.
