Car Slams Into Game Stop, Thieves Ransack Store

CHICAGO (CBS) -- Police are looking for the thieves who crashed into a West Side Austin neighborhood store and took off.

A car crashed through the Game Stop on Cicero Avenue near North Avenue around 4:30 a.m.

Police say the car was stolen, and an unknown amount of merchandise was taken from the store.

People who work nearby say this is not the first time a business in that area has been hit.

"At this location, we've had four smash and grabs last year within six weeks," says James Forte, the Villa Store Manager. "We put barricades in front of the store so they can't run the car through there anymore."

The store manager fears if the thieves aren't caught, they will return.
