Cab Driver Stabbed By Passenger In Albany Park

CHICAGO (STMW) -- A cab driver was stabbed during an attempted robbery late Monday in the Albany Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The 31-year-old driver was stabbed in the neck by a passenger who tried to rob him about 11:30 p.m. in the 4200 block of North Sacramento Avenue, Chicago Police said.

The passenger then ran off in an unknown direction, police said.

The cab driver was taken to Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
