Bodies of woman, 2 children recovered from Lake Michigan

A death investigation is underway after the bodies of a woman and two children, including a young boy and an infant girl, were recovered from Lake Michigan Saturday afternoon on the city's South Side.

Chicago police said shortly before 2:30 p.m., the body of a 31-year-old woman and a 6-year-old boy was recovered from the water in the 6300 block of South Hayes Drive. Both were pronounced dead at the scene.

The discovery comes hours after the body of a baby girl was pulled from the lake blocks away, around 11:30 a.m. in the 5700 block of South DuSable Lake Shore Drive.

They're identities have not been released as of Saturday.  

Police said all three discoveries appeared to be connected and stemmed from a domestic dispute.
