Blackhawks Trim Training Camp Roster To 34

(CBS) The Blackhawks released foward Tomas Kopecky and defenseman Lubomir Visnovsky, they announced Monday morning, trimming their training camp roster to 34 players.

Chicago now has 20 forwards, 11 defensemen and three goaltenders on the roster.

The Blackhawks are on the road to face the St. Louis Blues on Thursday. Chicago opens the regular season by hosting the New York Rangers on Oct. 7, when the team will raise its Stanley Cup championship banner as well.
