Another round of storms expected Wednesday in Chicago

CHICAGO (CBS) — Scattered showers and thunderstorms clear the area Wednesday night, paving the way for a stretch of pleasant, less humid weather behind the recent cool front.

Following recent bouts of storms, Chicago O'Hare is on record for the ninth-wettest July.

Northeast winds off the lake will cap high temperatures Thursday in the 70s in many areas under partly cloudy skies. Overnight lows for the rest of the work week will be comfortable, dropping into the mid-50s to lower 60s.

Humidity returns this weekend as daytime highs return to seasonable levels in the middle 80s.
