An MLB Game In Amsterdam? It Could Happen

(CBS) Major League Baseball opened the 2014 regular season in Australia, and it has also contested meaningful games in the past in Japan and Europe in past years.

Now, league brass has turned its eye toward playing a few regular-season games in Europe, and wouldn't you know what city is the clubhouse leader? Amsterdam.

London is also in play, as SportsBusiness Journal's Eric Fisher and Fox Sports' Jon Morosi pointed out, as outgoing commissioner Bud Selig's long pushed for games in Europe. Now, an announcement could be coming sometime soon -- and teams could be headed to the world's capital of nightlife to play the series.
