3 Metra lines disrupted by signal problems
Several trains on the Milwaukee District North, Milwaukee District West and North Central Service Metra lines were stopped or canceled Monday afternoon.
The trains were all stopped near Western Avenue due to signal problems. Both inbound and outbound trains were affected.
The Western Avenue station on all three lines is located at 420 N. Artesian Ave., near Western Avenue and Kinzie Street on the Near West Side.
The Milwaukee District North Line runs northwest to Fox Lake, the Milwaukee District West Line northwest to Elgin, and the North Central Service Line northwest to Antioch.
Metra said it is working on the issues, but those commuting during the Monday evening rush were likely to be late.
