T.J. Maxx, Marshalls Recall Foldable Lounge Chairs Due To Injury Risk
BOSTON (CBS) -- T.J. Maxx and Marshalls are recalling folding lounge chairs sold at both stores due to injury risk.
The recall was announced Wednesday and posted to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission website.
"The chairs can collapse unexpectedly, posing a fall and injury hazard," reads the recall.
There have been 15 reports of injuries, including back and tailbone injuries, a fractured finger, three reports of stitches to fingers and also reports of cut, bruised and swollen fingers.
5,200 units were produced and sold for around $40, according to the website.
One product is described as "natural oil frame with red and white stripe fabric" with T.J. Maxx style number 153228 and Marshalls style number 009420.
The other product is described as "white gloss frame with blue and white stripe fabric" with T.J. Maxx style number 153213 and Marshalls style number 009432.
