'Sit With Us' App Aims To Make Sure No Student Eats Alone At Lunch

BOSTON (CBS) -- A new app is helping kids be a little more comfortable in the school lunchroom.

The app lets students designate themselves as "ambassadors" and invite others to join them for lunch.

Students looking for a place to go know they won't be rejected when they sit down at the table.

Sixteen-year-old Natalie Hampton designed the app.

The California teen says she ate alone all through seventh grade, making her feel vulnerable and like a target for bullies.

Sit With Us is available for download in the Apple Store.
