Red Sox Place Joe Kelly On DL With Hamstring Strain

BOSTON (CBS) – Red Sox fireballer Joe Kelly has been placed on disabled list with a left hamstring strain.

Kelly, who has played a key role in Boston's bullpen this year, has a 1.49 ERA.

Brandon Workman has been called from Pawtucket up in Kelly's place.

The move, which puts Kelly on the DL for 10 days, is retroactive to July 12.
