Mass. Residents Prepare For First Winter Storm

WORCESTER (CBS) – Tuesday's storm won't exactly break any records, but many across the Bay State are preparing nonetheless.

At Rocky's Ace Hardware on Chandler Street, manager Steven Labrie says business has been booming. "I had people here at 8 a.m. as the doors opened. It was kinda like Black Friday-ish," said Labrie.

Worcester saw nearly 120 inches of snow last season and some were beginning to wonder if we'd see any this season.

Ice melt and shovels were popular items at Rocky's. Many say last winter's record snowfall did their shovels in.

"I broke two shovels last year, actually," said Ramon Matias.

"Cracked in half at the end of last year. Time for a new one," said Greg Hyder.
