Man Shot And Killed In Mattapan

BOSTON (CBS/AP) — A man has been shot and killed in the street in Boston's Mattapan neighborhood.

The shooting happened Friday afternoon at around 3:30 p.m. on Doone Ave., police said.

The man, who police said is believed to be in his forties, was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers were still at the scene late Friday and had not yet identified the victim. No arrests have been announced.

Police Commissioner William B. Evans said the shooting is the city's 18th homicide of 2016.
