Boston Police Cruiser Involved In Crash Near Encore Casino

BOSTON (CBS) – A Boston Police cruiser was involved in a serious crash near the Encore Boston Harbor casino early Wednesday morning.
It happened on Alford Street just after midnight. Boston Police said an officer pulled over to help the driver of a disabled vehicle and was rear-ended by a Chevy Tahoe.
Once the cruiser was hit from behind, it was pushed into the disabled vehicle.
The officer and driver of the Tahoe were both taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the disabled vehicle was not hurt.
It was dark and raining at the time of the crash, but it is not known if poor conditions contributed to the crash.
