Donald Trump To Visit Rhode Island Before Primary

WARWICK, R.I. (AP) — GOP front-runner Donald Trump is the latest presidential candidate to campaign in Rhode Island ahead of the state's primary.

Trump's website says he's scheduled to hold an event Monday afternoon at the Crown Plaza Hotel in Warwick.

Trump joins other presidential candidates who've recently campaigned in Rhode Island ahead of its Tuesday primary.

Republican John Kasich held a town hall event Saturday at Bryant University in Smithfield.

The Democratic candidates also stumped in Rhode Island over the weekend. Hillary Clinton held an event Saturday at Central Falls High School. Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders on Sunday held an outdoor rally at Roger Williams Park in Providence.

Campaign managers for Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz have said he isn't expected to hold any events in Rhode Island.
