Celtics Sign Guard Chris Babb To Second 10-Day Contract

BOSTON (CBS) -- The Boston Celtics have signed guard Chris Babb to a second 10-day contract, the team announced on Tuesday.

The 6-5 guard has appeared in four games during his brief stint in Boston, averaging 3.3 points and 1.8 rebounds over 13.1 minutes per game.

Babb scored a career-high six points in Boston's win over the Brooklyn Nets last Friday, and recorded a five-point, five-rebound game two nights earlier in a loss to the Golden State Warriors.

The Celtics' final cut prior to the regular season, Babb appeared in 33 games for the Maine Red Claws, Boston's NBA Development League affiliate. In Maine, Babb averaged 12.0 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists in 37.5 minutes per game.

Babb signed his first 10-day contract with the Celtics back on February 28. The 24-year-old went undrafted out of Iowa State in last year's NBA Draft.
