Bob Schieffer To Be Harvard University Fellow

BOSTON (CBS) -  Bob Schieffer is coming to Cambridge.

The recently retired CBS News veteran will be a fellow at The Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard's Kennedy School starting this fall.

"Schieffer's fellowship will focus on the 2016 presidential election and extend over three semesters, beginning in September and ending in December of 2016. He plans to be in residence at HKS at least twice each semester," the university said in statement Tuesday.

Schieffer retired Sunday after 24 years as anchor and moderator of CBS' "Face the Nation."

He had been with CBS News for 46 years and moderated three presidential debates in 2004, 2008 and 2012.

During his time at Harvard, Schieffer will meet with students and faculty and speak at various events.
