Winning $1.58 Billion Powerball Tickets Sold In California, Florida and Tennessee

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Who says you can't become a multi-millionaire overnight?  Jackpot-winning Powerball tickets have been sold in three states.

The winning numbers for the $1.5 billion Powerball jackpot were drawn late Wednesday. But three $1 million second-tier tickets were sold in Maryland.

The winning numbers were 8, 27, 34, 4, 19. The Powerball was 10.

Within minutes, California's state lottery tweeted that a jackpot-winning ticket had been sold in Chino Hills, a suburb of Los Angeles.

Later on Thursday morning, officials confirmed that two other winning tickets had been purchased; one in Florida and one in Munford, Tennessee.

At $1.586 billion, this is the largest Powerball jackpot ever!

The three second-tier winning tickets in Maryland were sold at the Wawa at 5440 Urbana Pike in Frederick, the Walker Hill Amoco at 6701 Walker Mill Rd. in Capitol Heights and the 7-11 at 4907 Annapolis Rd. in Bladensburg.

There were also 24 $50,000 third-tier winners and one $100,000 third-tier winner who purchased the Power Play option.
