WEATHER BLOG: Hot & Humid

It is hot and humid out there today. Highs climbed into the mid and upper 80s for a lot of spots, which is more typical of summer rather than spring! Currently, we are dealing with a persistent easterly flow of air over the region and this will be the case as we move into tomorrow as well. We will likely see a large area of rather cloudy skies with perhaps some early morning fog/drizzle as the easterly flow moves over the Atlantic Ocean and onshore. The good news… if the heat and humidity isn't your cup of tea, we will be cooling down tomorrow with highs only making it into the mid 70s. Most of the day should remain dry, but we will have to stay on the lookout for a stray shower here and there, however it does not look like any big deal. As we move into Thursday… get ready for some rain. Moderate and heavy waves of rain are expected to move in Thursday night through Friday afternoon. We could end up getting anywhere from 1-3" of rain by the time it is all said and done with the possibility of localized flooding.

On a side note, I am thankful that all of my friends and colleagues at ABC2 that were involved in the tactical barricade situation are safe, unharmed and OK.
