WEATHER BLOG: Drying Out & Turning Colder

The threat for freezing rain has diminished this afternoon as all freezing rain advisories have expired. A chilly rain will continue throughout the afternoon and begin tapering off this evening and tonight. We will dry out overnight with a considerable amount of clouds around. We'll be turning brisk and colder tonight with many areas dropping below freezing. This means that any wet spots on the roadway may refreeze and be slick overnight and Tuesday morning. Partly sunny skies are on tap for Tuesday with highs in the low/mid 30s. I would dress for the teens and 20s tomorrow because a brisk north wind will make it feel much colder when you factor in the wind chill.
