Weather Blog: A Little Rain Must Fall

HI Everyone,

Into each life a little rain must fall. Someone once said that. (Who I am not sure, but never let lack of attribution get in the way of a good quote.) Today a little rain will fall. figure between 10-5 you will need an umbrella, but if the numbers add up correctly we might just get us a Sunset in here later on.

Oh speaking of sunset, and such..we are approaching the shortest day of the year. The Winter Solstice. From that point on the day's get longer. I know, it will be a long time before we are looking at 6:30 sunsets but still we do round a big bend.

Oh hey speaking of the Winter Solstice has anybody ever tried the egg trick. According to legend, (though once during the Jerry Turner/Al Sanders years we did this in the  newsroom, live, and it worked), you can stand an egg on its end and it will not fall over at the exact moment of the Solstice. If you have done it drop me a note at mbass@wjz.com.

Sunny, and mild, but breezy, tomorrow. Then cooler for the weeks end, but not cold. A more seasonal feel if you will.  Looks like a kind of cruddy weekend. Cruddy but not horrible. But let's deal with it tomorrow. I find it always easier to talk about rain mixing with some wet snow when the sun is out. Winter. Look at it this way..just one day closer to Spring.

Have a good one ya'll.
