Shooting Suspect Arrested, Charged With Attempted Murder In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ)—Baltimore Police have arrested and charged a Parkville man with attempted murder for a shooting that happened last month in East Baltimore.

Police say on Aug. 1, 28-year old Marcel Morton shot a 26-year old man in the knee in the 4200 block of Fenwick Avenue in Northeast Baltimore City.

The victim was taken to an area hospital for treatment of his injuries and has since been released.

Investigators believe the motive for this attack was a previous dispute and physical fight between Morton and the victim.

Morton was apprehended by members of The Northeastern D istrict Operations Unit. He is currently being held at the Baltimore City Detention Center.
