Police Search For Suspects In Bowie Armed Robbery

BOWIE, Md. (AP) -- Authorities are looking for two people who robbed a bank in Bowie.

FBI spokeswoman Amy Thoreson said in a news release that two people entered the Bank of America on Laurel Bowie Road about 9:30 a.m. She says both robbers were armed, at least one with a handgun, and wore body suits and masks.

The robbers threatened employees and demanded money. Surveillance video shows the robbers gathering up cash.

Thoreson says witnesses believe the robbers were men. One was dressed in a thick, blue worker's suit, and the other wore a body suit that might be made of Tyvek or similar material.

No one was hurt in the robbery.
